Where to start?

Darren is adopted. He came to us at 2 months old. I immediately requested any and all evaluations available because mom had been using Meth while pregnant with him. We had a wonderful team on our side and a little after he turned 2 years old his PTs said they wanted to test some other options. The main pt had worked with duchenne patients years before and the other pt had written her thesis on duchenne. They contacted our pediatrician, requested blood work and told us the possibilities they were looking at. We set an appointment with neurology at CHLA.

To shorten this story, testing was done. A month before his 3rd birthday he started on Exondys 51.

He is about to turn 5 years old. Things are pretty good. He is happy and health.
